Hello! My name is Stephanie James and I am currently the center manager for Matrix Head Start Eastlake Center. I began my career at Matrix in 2014 as an Early Head Start teacher. I went from being an Assistant Center Manager to now, a Center Manager. Building relationships  with the staff and families served, is the best part of my job. In addition to relationship building, I am passionate and knowledgeable in Early Childhood Studies. I hold a BA in Early Childhood Studies from Rochester University. My interest in Early Childhood Studies started through my journey into motherhood. Shortly after the birth of my son, I began volunteering in his Head Start classroom. I was intrigued by the development of children. In the future, I wish to manage my own daycare program to support the work of many Head Start programs in the city of Detroit.
